Privacy policy
Last updated 18 October 2026
This policy explains how Calvero collects, uses and protects personal data on this website, in the Calvero platform at app.calvero.ai, and through Calvero's apps and plugins for Shopify and WordPress.
1. Who we are
Calvero is a trading name of Link Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, of Manufactory House, Bell Lane, Hertford, Hertfordshire SG14 1BP. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “Calvero” mean Link Digital Ltd.
For questions about this policy or your data, email privacy@calvero.ai.
2. Our two roles
Controller. We decide how data is used when you join our waiting list, visit this website, create a Calvero account or contact us.
Processor. When an agency or business uses Calvero to manage its marketing, or a merchant connects a store, the agency or business is the controller of its customers' data and we process it on their instructions under our terms. If you are a customer of one of those businesses, please contact them first about your data; we will help them answer your request.
3. What we collect and why
| Data | Why we use it | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Waiting list: your name, work email, company and number of clients | To tell you when Calvero is available, offer early access and understand who is interested | Consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Account details: name, email, organisation, role and sign-in records | To provide your account, keep it secure and record who approved each change | Contract; legitimate interests in security |
| Connected accounts: data from Google Ads, Google Analytics, Search Console, Business Profile, Merchant Center, Tag Manager, Bing, Meta, ClickUp, WordPress, Shopify and similar platforms you connect | To report on and improve marketing performance, and to publish changes you approve | Contract, as a processor for the business that connected them |
| Store data from the Shopify app: orders (order value, products, dates, marketing source and, where Shopify allows it, the customer's name, email, phone and address), products, inventory and storefront events | To attribute sales to marketing channels, measure product performance and improve product feeds | Contract, as a processor for the merchant |
| Website enquiries captured by the WordPress plugin: the form contents and the page and source that led to them | To show the business which marketing produced each enquiry | Contract, as a processor for the business |
| Support messages and emails | To answer you | Legitimate interests |
| Technical data: IP address, browser and error logs | To keep the service secure and working. On the waiting list we store only a one-way hash of your IP address, to stop automated sign-ups | Legitimate interests |
We never sell personal data. We may use aggregated, anonymised figures from across the platform, such as typical results for a trade or region, to give businesses benchmarks. These never identify a business or a person.
4. AI features
Calvero uses AI models to summarise performance, draft changes and answer questions. These requests are sent to our AI providers under terms that stop them from using the content to train their models. Nothing an AI drafts is published until a person approves it.
5. Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The Calvero platform uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure.
6. Who we share data with
We use trusted providers to run Calvero, each bound by a data processing agreement:
- Hosting and database: Vercel, Supabase and 20i
- Email delivery: Resend
- AI: Anthropic and OpenAI
- Error monitoring: Sentry
- Search and website data: Google, Microsoft, DataForSEO and Oxylabs
We share data with the platforms you connect only to do what you ask, such as publishing an approved change. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
7. International transfers
Some providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement and Addendum to protect it.
8. How long we keep it
- Waiting list: until Calvero launches for you or you ask us to remove you, and no longer than two years.
- Accounts: for as long as the account is open, then deleted within 90 days of closing, except what we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
- Connected platform and store data: for as long as the business keeps the connection, then deleted within 90 days. Raw copies of incoming data are kept for a shorter period.
- When a merchant uninstalls the Shopify app, we stop collecting their store data, and delete it within 30 days of Shopify asking us to.
9. Keeping data safe
Each business's data is kept separate at the database level, so only people given access to that business can see it. Credentials for connected platforms are encrypted. Access is by named account, never shared logins, and every change is recorded against the person who approved it.
10. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, to take a copy of it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email privacy@calvero.ai and we will reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
11. Changes
We'll update this page when how we use data changes, and tell account holders by email about any significant change.
